I need to repaint my nails...I think this to myself as I begin blogging for the first time in ages...I got this great new color called jumpin jade, so I'm pretty excited about that.
In other news...
~I survived my 25th birthday. It was a fun time. Now that it's over I have finally started to admit that I'm 25. Tiff and I had gone to breakfast, the morning after I got my liscence renewed. I paid with my debit card, and the girl asked to see my id. Without thinking, I bluted out, "My brand-spanking new one!" So, the other girl giggled and asked if I just turned 21. I should have just said yes, but instead I was like, "umm. no. I turn 25 tomorrow." anyway...it was a good birthday...but I don't plan on getting any older. This is it :)
~work sucks as always! We are going through a new accredation process which is basically a giant bundle of steaming bull! My co-teachers insist on staying after work like every single day, and I'm like, really? This isn't goign to last; plus, I'm not bfff's with the assistant director and I have nothing to prove, so ya know...
~I had to put my truck in the shop. Apparently, I needed new rotors. The good news is it was covered under warranty! While we were waiting for my truck to get done, we wondered over the bookstore so Brian could find a clearenced copy of Les Miserables. (I don't why he insists on waisting his time when he could be reading Twilight!) So, I meandered over to the graphic novels section, looking for Ghostrider, when this kid pops up, and starts mackin on me bigtime! It was completely endearing. He was like, "So...do you know anything about the Watchmen?" I was like, "As a matter of fact I do." So we had this adorable conversation for about 35 minutes about the Watchmen and V for Vendetta and Wolverine...Brian stood there for like half a second before bowing out gracefully. I had to cut it short before the kid tried to get a number or something. As I was walking away he said, "I really enjoyed our conversation!" awww :)
~I went to Kentucky for my sister's adoption benefit concert, and we discovered that although church people pretty much suck, God is still awesome as ever!! Between the 20 people that were there and the folks who checked out the virtual concert on her blog, they were able to raise over $2400, which allows them to proceed in the adoption process. Yay!! I am this much closer to having a new niece or nephew to spoil! Also, we have a new favorite musicain, Jimmy Dooley, whom Micah affectionately calls "jimmy doody." We fixed his hair to match Jimmy's, and I also fixed my dad's hair for sunday morning when Jimmy Dooley performed for their church. It was a fun time.
~We can add flying to my list of hobbies and interests. That's right, FLYING!!! This past thursday, Brian said he had a surprise for me, which I guessed to be going for an airplane ride. But to my surprise, this little airport also gives flying lessons, so we went up twice about 25 minutes each and Brian got to fly the first time, and I got to fly the second time!!! It was so awesome!!! The sad thing is, flying is an expensive hobby, so I need to put in about $5000 before I can get my private pilot's liscence...That won't be happening for a while :) We flew to Chippewa Lake, and we even went over my condo! I wasn't sure it was my condo until I saw the black pearl parked in front my garage and started screaming, "There's my truck!!!!" good times!
That's about all I have time for...

a few of my favorite things...
You know what I love?! Weekends!! But not just any old weekend...specifically, weekends that involve both skiing and showtunes!!! Doesn't get much better than that! Tomorrow Brian, the Duck, hopefully Courtney, and I are hitting the slopes, thanks to Uncle Danny for that coupon book of Cleveland activities, we have buy one get one free tickets for Brandywine...And Sunday evening, an early birthday present to myself with two of my best gal-pals, Tiff and Court, we are going to see Hairspray at Playhouse.
I am so excited, in fact, that when asked what I do for fun during my interview yesterday, I blurted out enthusiastically, "I love skiing and going to the theater!!" Not that I really do either activity that often...this will be my fourth time to the theater and my third time skiing! :) I'm really liking this new tradition of seeing a Broadway show every year for my birthday, even if this particular birthday marks the end of my youth...SIGH! I'm keeping myself young by hitting the slopes, lol! Although, I suffered an injury at the boyfriend's last night. I was holding his watch, so about mid-thigh or however long my arm is, when he grabbed me, either trying to give me a bear hug, or something of the sort, all I know is my feet were in the air but my arms were pinned and that watch was digging into my mid-thigh area. I was screaming, "My leg! My leg!" He released me too late...the permanent tissue damage had already occurred! It does hurt when I walk even, which is weird for a bruise, hence the reason I say I have permanent tissue damage...Not only that, but I am in the middle of a Grey's Anatomy marathon, which is really affecting my thought processes. So, although I may not need a heart transplant despite my poor circulation, I definitely suffered permanent tissue damage to my mid-thigh. I also breifly considered switching my major to surgical technician...
All that to say, I hope my injury can sustain the slopes tomorrow. Ahhh, a weekend of skiing and showtunes...doesn't get any better than that! :)

miss...miss...MISS!!!!
It has been way too long my friends...so long, in fact, I have probably lost all of my fans, which is sad. I have been waiting for our computer to get fixed, because I have a buttload of pictures to upload. I feel like reading is usually more interesting with pictures included with the text...however, I sit at the library where I am unable to upload any pics...
Anyway...I have pics from Christmas, which was an amazing time with my family...pics from RENT, yes I said RENT, as in RENT the Broadway tour, starring Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp, for all of you nonRENTers, the original Mark and Roger. It was awesome! I don't care what anybody says. It was in no way comparable to Wicked, but it was intended to be so much different. I will say the movie is way easier to follow, and I felt bad that I didn't make Brian watch the movie before we went, because he was a bit lost. I was afraid he wouldn't want to see the show if he watched the movie, and it was so worth going, I didn't want him to miss out on his first theatre experience...Also, I have pics from Remora at the Agora, which is Brian's younger brother's super sweet band. And pics from another weekend of skiing adventures!!!
Yes, we went cross-country skiing on Saturday, which if you know me at all, you know my love for downhill skiing, which I do all the time of course. :) Cross-country skiing is very different. Lots of trees, park benches, going uphill, you get the idea. I fell down alot. It was alot of fun, and I will definitely go again, but I think I prefer downhill skiing, if I'm being honest.
Today, I had an interview at Family Video in Brunswick. I think it went well, however I tend to think all interviews I go on go well...I went to Family Video in Medina after my interview, and I discissed the matter with Steve Savage, who promised to put in a good word for me with Vance...so hopefully, I will be getting a new job soon. I told Steve I thought it would be weird to work at that one because I'm in there all the time, and I wasn't sure if it would just be wierd like, "Hey! I can't get enough of Family Video I must work here!" I told Vance I'm one of Steve's favorite customers and "great customers make great employees wink wink!" But being more comfortable with Steve since I see him all time, I gave him the "I AM Family Video" ploy, to which he replied I am one of two regular customers that would be a good fit, so I asked him if he could call Vance and realy that little message to him...So, we will see. Family Video Medina isn't currently hiring, but Steve said to come back and talk to him if it doesn't work out at Brunswick. I really need a new job. I'm just not making it, and I don't want to use all my school money for bills that have no relation to school.
A little sidenote...THE single most annoying patron at the Medina Public Library is sitting diagonally from me. This guy is ridiculous. Every two seconds he's like, "MISS...MISS..." I'm glad I didn't persue that Librarian dream, because he would put me over the edge. He has to have them show him step-by-step every letter to type in and where to type it. Even though he is staring right at the "SEND" button on the screen and has his finger on the mouse, he has to scream, "MISS...MISS...how do I send it?" another two seconds later..."MISS...MISS...MISS!!!! um, how do I sign off?" And he gets really irritated if the "MISS" doesn't sit next to him the whole time and practically do everything for him, including read his mail to him...UGH!!
I am leaving...now...stay tuned for pics, they will be up eventually :)
